Engage Agro is seeking a Herbicide Product Manager for our Canadian marketing team. This position will be based in our Guelph, Ontario office. As the Herbicide Product Manager, you will be responsible for creating marketing strategies for assigned products, developing annual budgets and plans to support strategies, and providing technical support (internal and external). This will involve regular interactions within several teams of Engage Agro and Belchim, as well as with industry stakeholders, including growers, retailers, consultants and researchers. You will also share responsibility for developing new products and achieving sales goals. Specific Responsibilities:Develop and implement annual business and marketing plans including volume targets, pricing and positioning for assigned portfolio (in conjunction with marketing, sales and finance teams) to drive demand creation.Develop and recommend product pricing/profitability and positioning strategies for future products across all relevant customer and market segments.On-going support of sales; active interaction with sales organization.Work with the sales team to help plan and organize a territory specific strategy.Oversee and direct advertising, communications and public relations activities to support marketing plans.Coordinate product supply; update forecasts for assigned products on a monthly basis.Create and manage a 5 year strategic plan for your portfolio to achieve sales and profit targets.Conduct competitive analyses and market research to identify market opportunities.Determine market expansion opportunities with existing products and potential new product concepts; build supporting business cases.Interact with key centers of influence to provide additional product support and gain knowledge concerning market opportunities and challenges. Experience: 5+ years of marketing, sales or agronomy experience within the agricultural chemical sector or related agricultural industry. Less experienced applicants with a demonstrated ability to learn and adapt quickly will also be considered. Education: BSc or BA required with a preferred focus in weed sciences, agriculture, biology or business. Fluency in French is a plus.
