Where the Chemistry Happens?We are seeking an enthusiastic professional and/or student, with a Bachelor?s degree (or in-process of obtaining one) in finance, business or economics, to support our Regional Taxation Team. This is a temporary assignment opportunity, requiring full forty hours per week for a period of three to 4-6 months. This position is based in Mississauga, Ontario and will support various taxation activities, including but not limited to:Review the appropriateness of sales and withholding tax audit assessments.Assist in the preparation of Corporate tax returns and Corporate tax provisions.Contact with customers and vendors regarding the tax audits including billings of tax where required.Internal in-depth review of sales transactions and vendor payments for correct tax applications.Assist in correction of sales tax errors on BASF invoices/purchase orders.Provide assistance in responses to sales tax and withholding tax audit queries from tax authorities.Provision of educational sessions and information on sales and withholding tax issues to internal staff.
