This position is responsible for leading and providing oversight for the production team as assigned. This position is responsible for the work of the hourly employees in meeting the objective of a safe, efficient and timely production in an environment of changing customer demands. By leadership and example, train and educate employees regarding health and safety, job methods, waste minimization, commitment to excellence and job performance. Also, responsible for recording pertinent production and accident statistics. This position will be responsible for the Solid Core production department. However, they will be asked to provide general support for Injection, Fermentation, Curing, and Final Packaging, Grinding, Form Film Packaging, and supervision during vacation periods.Routinely conduct health, safety, environmental, and security audits of all operational areas and ensure corrective actions are completed in a timely fashion.Monitor and ensure that appropriate and timely follow-up is made for all EHS issues identified by production personnel.Participate within the incident command structure during emergency events as required.Establish and maintain high housekeeping standards in all process areas.Ensure MOCs are issued for all changes to the process and all appropriate safety reviews are completed for new process or projects.Ensure that training of all production personnel has been completed before any new equipment or modifications to existing equipment are placed into service.Monitor and analyze the day-to-day operating conditions of the plant and recommend appropriate measures to ensure quality, production, safety, cost and environmental compliance objectives are met.IND1 Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You?In-depth and broad experience in process and manufacturing methodology related to solid material handling, agglomeration of material processing or chemical processing. Ability to direct and motivate subordinates within shift Well-developed analytical and organizational skills. Familiarity with and adherence to legislative and corporate policies, particularly in areas of health and safety and the environment. Strong analytical, troubleshooting and computer related skills. Mechanical Aptitude Ability to communicate with subordinate peers and supervisors particularly in areas of job instruction, quality and performance. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and climb steps/ladders as well as lift up to 50 lbs.
